About us and how to volunteer - our main priority is VETS at this time, though any help is gratefully accepted and welcomed.
This shelter had its origines over a decade ago in the early 2010's. It was the brainchild of a local man and his family. In those ten years what started as a simple act of feeding a few stray dogs, and taking in some to their home, it has become what you see today.
They not only care for any animal that needs it but maintain a steady supply of personal money, effort, and food in conjunction with an underground of many helpers in the holiday belt who go out every day to feed local cats and dogs and to ensure they are staying well. Other animals that have been included in their work are horses, donkeys, monkeys, crocodiles, geese, ducks, chickens, cattle and buffalo, birds, turtles and terrapins plus many more. This work is especially important during the rainy season when traditionally tourists were scarce and food even more so.

We are dedicated to the welfare of animals. We are based in Calungute, Goa and have a premises that has been constructed with the whole purpose being focused on NEUTERING dogs and cats. We can undertake some medical procedures and care, but at this time with few volunteers and staffing infrastructure, we are concentrating on our focus.
We are looking for VETS who are competent to carry out neutering of cats and dogs in a newly built facility with all the modern conditions and facilities that can assist volunteer VETS to have a reasonable and successful day in our operating theatre and prep room. We have 20 recovery facilities for animals that we are sheltering. These animals will eventually be returned to their original owners, locations and packs to live out a fruitful life we hope.
