Vets and qualified nurses and assistants

Welcome to Noahs Vets page, we are very pleased that you have considered looking towards our Shelter as part of your personal development program and hope that it is because you might wish to come and do some work with us.

For your information you might wish to know the following:

We are a Non-Government Organisation, that has been recognised by the National and Local Governing bodies, and who support us in carrying out our work, in sterilising Dogs and Cats as a main function.

We also get animals that are injured or sick and we try to treat them as best as your skills will allow.

We have a number of dogs, cows and feathered flock, plus a resident crocodile in our pond who are with us permanently.

We at the moment employ about 8 people to catch, care for and return animals at our centre.  One also is the prep assistant who at the moment services the 2 Vets that are here in getting the animals pre-op and post-op ready.  We aim to do 20 sterilisations per day, but that number fluctuates between 1 and 20.

We have 20 cages internally for containment and 2 quarantine cages outside for isolation.......shower and toilet facilities.  Plus a kitchen, washing machine etc.

The Operating theatre contains two tables , downlights, and air conditioning whilst the prep room has all the necessary equipment to service the work, sterilisation and recovery of the animals and the tools required to do the job.

Currently our full time Vets are provided with accommodations, a car, food and work 5 days a week.

Volunteer Vets whom we expect to want to gain skill, knowledge and expertise in a genuine and fully operational working clinic should be prepared to work for free, we can help with accommodations, lunch is provided, transportation etc but you will not gain experience in general veterinary operations better than here.

Working conditions are probably some of the best in India and of course its Goa so the local beaches and bars are here also.

Feel free to look around this site to get an idea of the layout and the facilities.

Volunteer nurses and assistants will get similar considerations as the volunteer vets so please also call the number listed below.

Thank You for looking in on us

Ring this number if you would like to discuss opportunities with us, ask for Steve or Augustine -
